Be Medical Spa and Salon is located at 17 South 2nd Street in downtown Grand Haven, Michigan in the newly-restored Grand Haven Armory. Built in 1905 as a community center and opera house, it became an armory for the U.S. Army, and then a YMCA. Over the years the building fell into major disrepair. In 2004, under new ownership, it underwent a multimillion dollar transformation. Special care was taken to preserve the unique architectural features of the 100 year-old building, while introducing a decidedly-modern flavor. The original decorative tin ceiling, maple floor, and exposed brick were blended seamlessly with new design elements of stainless steel, exposed ductwork, and an open glass and granite staircase. The character of the original building was maintained while a new, urban elegance has evolved — Comtemporary but timeless.
